Analysis of pesticides residues and
other contaminants in food products

Food safety is an imperative that concerns food products at every stage of their production process. From raw materials to semi-finished and finished products, high levels of consumer health protection must be ensured with scrupulous care, robust analytical methods, and state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation.

The Laboratory offers monitoring analysis of pesticides residues and the most common contaminants, particularly those on which the regulations in force provide for legal limits on their levels. The main parameters are listed below:

  • Multi-residual analysis for monitoring pesticides residues (more than 500 active substances monitored);
  • Analysis for monitoring particular pesticides using dedicated methods: polar pesticides (glyphosate, paraquat and diquat), group of phenoxyacidic pesticides, volatile pesticides (dithiocarbamates);
  • Heavy Metals;
  • Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, PAHs;
  • Saturated mineral oils (MOSH) and aromatic mineral oils (MOAH);
  • Residues of plasticisers (phthalates, adipates, citrates);
  • Mycotoxins such as aflatoxins, ochratoxin, zearalenone, deoxynivalenol, trichothecenes;
  • Process contaminants: Acrylamide.
