Water Chemical Analysis

The Laboratory performs various types of water analysis, formulating customised analytical proposals adapted to the needs of our customers, which differ according to the type of water treated, its intended use and its specific identity.

If necessary, our specialised personnel also carry out preliminary inspections and sampling activities.

Below is a list of the different analysis proposed according to the type of water to be examined.

Water intended for human consumption

Concern water intended for human consumption, we look for the analytical parameters required under D.Lgs 31/01 as amended:

Conductivity;
pH;
Total Hardness;
Dry Residue at 180°C;
Free active chlorine;
Turbidity;
Oxidability;
Alkalinity;
Anions: Chlorides, Fluorides, Nitrates, Nitritis and Sulfates;
Cyanides;
Heavy Metals: Alluminium, Antimony, Arsenic, Boron, Cadmium, Chromium, Iron, Manganese, Mercury, Nickel, Lead, Copper, Selenium, Vanadium
Phytosanitary products (Pesticides);
Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals: Calcium, Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium;
Ammonium ion;
Total Phosphorus;
Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons;
Volatile halogen compounds such as tetrachloroethylene, 1,2-dichloroethane, trihalomethanes and vinyl chloride;
Benzene;
Total organic carbon, TOC.

Wastewater

For water discharged into surface watercourses, sewers and ground, we search for the following parameters set out in the Annexes to D.Lgs 152/2006 as amended:

Temperature;
pH;
SAR, sodium absorption ratio;
Colour;
Smell;
Gross materials;
Total suspended solids;
BOD5;
CODb;
Heavy Metals;
Hexavalent chromium;
Total Cyanides;
Free active Chlorine;
Sulphides;
Sulphites;
Sulfates;
Chlorides;

Total Phosphorus;
Total Nitrogen;
Ammoniacal nitrogen;
Nitrous and Nitric nitrogen;

Pool Water

Regard to pool water analysis, we follow the parameters indicated in the national agreement 16/01/2003 as amended:

Temperature;
pH;
Suspended solids;
Colour;
Free active Chlorine;
Combined active chlorine;
Organic substances, Permanganate analysis;
Turbidity;
Gross Solids;
Isocyanuric acid;
Nitritis;
Nitrates;
Total trihalomethanes;
Flocculants.

Groundwater

On groundwater, we analyse the parameters set out in D.Lgs 152/06 as amended (Annex 5 to Title V Part IV-Tab 2):

Heavy Metals (Alluminium, Antimony, Arsenic, Boron, Beryllium, Cadmium, Cobalt, Total Chromium, Chrome VI, Iron, Manganese, Mercury, Nickel, Lead, Copper, Selenium, Silver, Thallium,Zinc);
Free Cyanides;
Nitrites;
Fluorides;
Nitrates;
Sulfates;
Organic aromatic compounds (Benzene, Ethylbenzene, Styrene, Toluene, Xylene);
Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH);
Carcinogenic chlorinated aliphatic compounds;
Non-carcinogenic chlorinated aliphatic compounds;
Chlorobenzenes.
