The stops for maintenance of some plants (e.g. Poland) help the aim of the
producers, who're continuing to ask for higher prices despite of the
proppylene reductions.
Acetone's market is nervous due to the trouble at Mantova-ENICHEM plant,
for environmental reasosns.
The
market is uncertain. Producers want to increase prices, but the lack of
demand doesn't help.
In Italy, prices have been depressed by a parcel of MEG stored in Genoa
that had to be removed; Euro spot prices are too lower in front of contrct
prices, also considering the US dollar strenght.The NPRA meeting could
influence the trend.
(*) After the storm of the europen market from the very low prices of the
spanish producer the level seems to come back near to the previous targets.
No one knows if it will last, despite of the planned plant's stop.
In an italian market generally dull, the propylene glycol ethers are
really an exception. (+) European producers try to achieve the request
levels, italian producer seems not to follow.
